My name is Jace Kelly. I'm a 23 year old hobbyist, collector, former emo, and music enthusiast with an affinity for alternative music subcultures, physical media, and analog technology. I am responsible for this website's existence. I never would have anticipated diving into the world of web development, but some things can compel a person to make decisions they never thought they'd make. For me, I was so fed up with the modern internet and social media that I wanted a way out so instead I created my way out.
An integral part of who I am is my commitment to being straight edge, which means I do not partake in drinking alcohol or consuming recreational drugs. I know that in this world, how deeply ingrained it is, and humans always feel the need to rely on something during hardships. I chose to reject that form of reliance as it supports a culture of abuse and addiction. While I do believe that to live one must experience pain as that is a part of living. I believe using substances to numb or mask the hardships of life limits any form of growth for yourself. Why add more problems when life itself is hard enough as it is? I chose a path of clarity and clean living for myself only. I want to be free from the shackles that bind someone to artificial bliss. It is a personal conviction that I stand firmly with.
